Ready or Not? When Cyber Strikes and Personal Data is Breached

Would your team know how to manage a cyber incident where personal data has been compromised?
We’re bringing data protection and cyber preparedness into sharp focus with a hands-on cyber simulation.
It is estimated that cyber attacks cost the UK economy £14.7 billion in 2025. That is 0.5% of the UK's GDP. Cyber security is now recognised as a critical risk for businesses and a key consideration for organisations. Cyber attacks, human error, system failure or weak policies can lead to data protection breaches via unauthorised access, exposure, alteration or destruction of personal data, impacting individuals' privacy and causing organisational harm resulting in potential fines and reputational damage.
Join us for this Cyber Incident and Personal Data Breach Simulation Exercise that will enable participants to experience being part of an incident response team managing the impact of a data protection and cyber security incident whilst developing an incident response plan and communications.
This event will support participants to develop a greater understanding of the potential challenges faced by organisations in the event of a personal data breach or cyber incident and assist in developing an understanding of responsibilities in relation to preparing for personal data breaches and cyber emergencies.
This workshop will be hosted by the Jersey Office of the Information Commissioner with support from a panel of cyber and communications specialists from Soteria Communications and the Jersey Cyber Security Centre, to guide participants in developing their incident response plans.
This event will take place on Friday 15 May 2026 from 1:30pm until 4pm. Spaces are limited.
Registration closes at 5pm on Wednesday 13 May 2026.
