Data Protection for Sports Organisations - Interactive Workshop

This interactive workshop aims to support sports organisations in navigating the world of data protection. The session will outline the main principles of the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018 and the obligations of those processing personal information and provide the opportunity for guests to share their experiences of data protection within sports organisations, talk through example, practical case studies and raise any questions they may have, in a supportive environment.

The JOIC will also explain more about their role and functions, from providing the people of Jersey with a high standard of data protection, to practically and ethically promoting the personal information rights of individuals, to carrying out their regulatory role.

The aim of this session is for attendees to feel data protection confident. The JOIC will signpost the checklists, templates and resources on their website, to help and guide attendees.
