The Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018 provides individuals with a number of rights. The one most commonly used is the right of subject access. This practical session, bringing our Subject Access Requests (SARs) guidance to life, will help those processing subject access requests to meet the requirements of the law including areas often misunderstood.
Let’s Go DPO is a support network from the JOIC giving Data Protection Officers and those that have responsibility for data protection the chance to network, identify and explore common experiences and engage with our office in a safe and confidential environment.
The network’s purpose is to promote compliance and awareness of the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018 and demonstrate our office’s commitment to providing support to local Data Protection Officers and those that have responsibility for data protection by offering the opportunity for discussion and to contribute to our office's development of initiatives and other guidance, where appropriate.
All are welcome at this session, which is free of charge.
