Real-world data protection isn’t always straightforward - and the Jersey Office of the Information Commissioner (JOIC) wants to learn more about how organisations are handling Islanders’ personal information.
The Island’s data protection regulator has teamed up with the Isle of Man’s data protection regulator to undertake an anonymous survey to explore how they can better support organisations with the real data protection challenges they’re facing – and to help shape future guidance, outreach and support.

Paul Vane, Jersey Information Commissioner, said: “We want to reassure organisations this survey is anonymous and strongly encourage participants to answer openly and honestly. The survey’s not an audit and it’s not enforcement. It’s a chance for organisations to let us know how they’re handling data protection and where they’re finding it tough. The survey closes on Wednesday 12 November 2025. The results will be released during the JOIC’s annual Data Protection Week at the end of January 2026.
